Species laboratory mouse
Strain Type MSK (mutant stock),CON (congenic strain)
Mutant Type TM (Target Mutation)
Other Names
Background Strain C57BL/6
Strain Description
1.  This strain is derived from homozygous B6.129-Cdk12tm1Fmj/Narl mated with Protamin-cre transgenic mice to remove loxP-flanked exon 3 and 4 of Cdk12 during spermatogenesis.
2.  The heterozygotes are viable and fertile, but homozygous deficiency in Cdk12 leads to embryonic lethality after implantation.
3.  The breeding scheme used in this strain is homozygousB6.129-Cdk12tm1Fmj/Narl(fl/fl) x heterozygousmutant (fl/-) and all are kept in C57BL/6J background.
