Species laboratory mouse
Strain Type COI (coisogenic strain),MSR (mutant strain)
Mutant Type
Other Names
Background Strain NOD/Sytwu
Strain Description 1. 2 constructs consist of 3.6kb murine IFN-γpromoter with human Thy1 gene and 6.3kb murine IL-4 promoter with 5kb murine Thy1.1. Both transgenes were microinjected into BALB/c fertilized ICR embryos simultaneously.
2. Express traceable protein human CD90 on the cell surface when producing IFN-γ, and express mouse CD90.1 when secreting Il4.
3. This strain develops diabetes with the same kinetics and incidence as wild type NOD mice, permitting the physiological characterization of CD4+ human CD90+ cells.
